Servings:
Instructions
  1. 1 quart mason jar
Recipe Notes

Wash hands and cucumbers with a mild soap or just cold filtered or spring water.

Place one grape leaf at the bottom of your jar with half of your spices and garlic cloves.
Cut cucumbers to your desired eating pleasure and cut off the flowering end. Once cucumbers are packed in place add the remaining spices and garlic in.

Add approximately 2 cups of brine (2 cups of mineral water to 1 tbsp of salt), then place the grape leaf on top of the cucumbers and make sure to fully submerge cucumbers, garlic and spices under water.

You can place a 4oz mason jar filled halfway with brine to weigh veggies down.
Close metal lid with ring and place in a cool dark spot with a dish under jar to allow juices to flow out and prevent a mess.

Release CO2 pressure at least once a day.
Pickles will be ready in 4-10 days depending on your liking.
You can find airlocks in Ventura at Surf Brewery. Or here is link to online ones http://www.perfectpickler.com or http://www.pickl-it.com
